What we collect
When you sign up for the Calvoara client portal, we collect:
- Show name, contact name, email address, and phone number
- Your raw episode files (audio/video) and any storage links you share with us
- Brand & voice notes, and any topics or moments you flag as off-limits for clipping
- Billing details, handled by our payment processor
Why we collect it
We use this information to:
- Edit your episodes and produce your short-form clips
- Deliver clips through your client portal
- Communicate with you about your episodes, deliveries, and account
- Process billing for your plan
Who sees your information
Your episodes and account details are only accessible to the Calvoara team producing your edits. We do not sell your information to third parties. We use trusted infrastructure providers to run the service — for hosting and file storage, transactional email, and payment processing — and only share what each provider needs to do that job.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information and withdraw consent at any time
- Object to your information being used for direct marketing
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your information has been mishandled

How long we keep your data
We retain your episodes, clips, and account information for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorised access, and disclosure.
